Community Action Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig (CALA)

CALA is a project aimed at involving the community in identifying and addressing alcohol related harm in the Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig area. The area was chosen because of the population size, partnership working and community spirit. Alcohol Focus Scotland is running the project but working with a range of local partners that vary from alcohol licensing, health, police, addiction services and housing. The aim of the project is to be community-led and we have just finished a consultation where around 250 community members completed a questionnaire about their views on alcohol issues and the Lochgilphead and Ardrishaig area.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in this consultation which will shape the work of the project over the coming year.

Key findings from community consultation

We are also consulting with under 18s and will share the full results shortly.
