Oh Lila resource now available

‘Oh Lila’ was produced by the Swiss Institute for Alcohol and Drugs who have very kindly given permission to Alcohol Focus Scotland to translate the story into English and develop it for use with children aged between 3 and 5 years old.
The flip card storybook is written in the format of the Japanese story telling art of Kamishibai which has been used since the 12th century to convey stories with moral lessons. Oh Lila tells the story of an adventurous young hare named Lila who gets herself into trouble.
The moral of Lila’s story is that if children get into trouble or make a mistake, it is always better to speak to someone they trust to help them. The story provides nurseries and other practitioners the opportunity to help young children develop social skills and explore a variety of issues such as risk taking behaviour and making mistakes.
