Glasgow nurseries get set to welcome Oh Lila
04/08/2011

Hundreds of Glasgow nursery children will be meeting a new friend in the autumn as the Oh Lila Learning Resource is introduced in over 60 nurseries across the city. Over 120 staff will be attending training to support them to use the resource in sessions beginning in August.
Suitable for use with children aged 3 to 5 years old the resource aims to help children to develop social skills and build resilience and protective factors.
Linda Malcolm, Health Improvement Lead for alcohol and drugs for Greater Glasgow and Clyde commissioned the introduction of Oh Lila by Glasgow City Alcohol and Drug Partnership. She said “Oh Lila is a new and exciting evidence-based early intervention approach for us to be taking with our 3-5 year olds who are a target group that we have not focused on before”.
