Alcohol Focus Scotland and ASH Scotland are joint Secretariat for a new public health Cross Party Group. The group will focus on how we can improve the health of the next generation by preventing and reducing non-communicable diseases, particularly those caused by tobacco, alcohol and unhealthy foods.

The Cross Party Group, Improving Scotland's health: 2021 and beyond, met for the first time on 2 November 2016 at 5.30pm in the James Clerk Maxwell Room (Committee Room 4).

The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 25 January 2017 from 5.30-7pm in Committee Room 4 of the Scottish Parliament. The theme of the meeting is "The economy and public health: Understanding the impact of health-harming industries".
